The service
Stake & String (sportsforceparks.org) is a field layout calculator provided by WeldonPC, Garfield Heights, Ohio. Use it for lawful purposes.
Check before you paint
The tool does geometry on the numbers you enter and on the standard sizes it names with their sources. You are responsible for the sizes you choose, for your league's rules, and for permission to mark the ground. Measure twice. Watch for buried lines, sprinkler heads and anything else under the turf before you drive a stake.
Private links
A Field Book opens with its private link. Anyone holding the link can open, change or delete it, so share it only with your crew. We cannot recover a lost link, because we keep only a scrambled copy of its key.
Plans and payment
Stake & String Plus costs $1.95 a month or $19.50 a year and renews until cancelled; cancelling stops the next charge and Plus stays on until the end of the paid period. A Park Pass costs $1.00, gives one saved park plan Plus limits for 60 days and does not renew. Payments will be handled by PayPal. While the site is in preview, nothing is charged.
No warranty
The tool is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, WeldonPC is not liable for fields marked, games played or decisions made with it.
Deletion
You can delete a sheet or a whole Field Book at any time. Field Books not opened for 400 days, with no running plan, are deleted automatically.
Independence
Stake & String is not connected with any sports complex, league or governing body, and it is not a charity or a nonprofit.
